It looks like no Telugu film is getting away without any controversies these days. Even as the controversy over “Denikaina Ready” and “A Woman in Brahmanism” is still raging over the alleged humiliation to the Brahmin community, yet another film has landed in trouble.
The film – Bus Stop – produced by Bellamkonda Suresh, has created furore among the student organisations, allegedly for some objectionable scenes. Representatives of Students Federation of India on Sunday tried to storm the theatres in Hyderabad, alleging that the film had several scenes that mislead the youth and spoil their minds.
The students raised slogans against the Censor Board for clearing the film and demanded that the objectionable scenes be deleted from the film. They tried to storm into the theatre but were stopped by the police. They later burnt the effigy of the censor board.
The Censor Board had apparently suggested five or six cuts in the film before giving the “A” certificate. Bellamkonda said the film was just an entertainer and at the same time, gives a strong message to the youth in a subtle manner.
