Bollywood’s highest tax payers list
It was reported today March 24, 2012 that Bollywood stars are not just minting money, as most people think they are, but they are giving something back to the nation as well. Statistical figures of who pays how much to the Indian government in taxes was recently released and it seems the stars are more patriotic than the public gives them credit for.
Here are the figures of some of Bollywood’s A-listers: Khiladi No. 1 Akshay Kumar is presently also Bollywood’s highest tax paying actor as well. So far he has been paying Rs 20 crore, for the past two years
India’s very own Super Hero Ra. One Shah Rukh Khan paid Rs. 18 crore in 2010-11, but the figure this year dropped to Rs 10 crore.
Bollywood’s very own Body Guard Salman Khan has also been paying Rs. 10 crore for the past two years.
Bollywoods one secret agent, Agent Vinod Saif Ali Khan Saif paid Rs 2.5 crore in 2010-11 and this figure jumped to Rs 4.5 crore this year.
Dotting new granddad Amitabh Bachchan paid Rs. 6 crore in 2010-11 and in 2011-12 it melted down to just Rs 3 crore as tax.
Aamir Khan, the maker of one hit movie per year paid Rs 11.95 crore in 2010-11 but just Rs 6.5 crore in 2011-12.

New Mama and the face of L’Oreal and Longines Aishwarya Rai Bachchan paid Rs 3 crore as tax in 2010-11 and Rs 2.5 crore in 2011-12.
Between Ajay Devgan, Shahid Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra the figures stand safely between Rs. 1.5 to Rs.3 crore in taxes for this year.
